Honey has been used for natural home remedies for the longest time. It has calming, moisturizing and soothing properties that are great for skin and hair. A lot of face mask use honey as a base. The sticky texture ensure the mixture stays on your skin and absorbs all the benefits. Likewise, honey is an amazing base for homemade hair treatments. For instance, apple cider vinegar can be used alone but it can be too strong, so when you combine it with honey the consistency is smoother and less acidic. Take a look at the combination below from Everyday Roots.

Honey & Water

Mix ¼ cup of organic raw honey and 1 cup of water. Mix well and make sure it's thin enough to apply to hair. This ratio can be adjusted depending how much hair you have. Once you settle with the right amount apply it on damp hair and let it sit for 30 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Honey & Apple Cider Vinegar

Mix together ¼ cup honey and 10 tablespoon ACV. Apply on damp hair and let it sit for 15 minutes then rinse out with warm water.

Honey & Olive Oil

Combine ½ cup of honey and ¼ cup of olive oil, warming the mixture slightly if you need to. Apply to hair and shampoo it after 15 minutes.

Honey & Coconut

Combine 3 tablespoon warmed coconut oil and ¼ cup honey and blend thoroughly. Apply to damp hair and let it sit for 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
@KDramaKPop1015 If you have dry or damaged hair, honey helps restore moisture since it's a natural humectant. It’s also full of antioxidants and nutrients to feed hair follicles but it's too sticky to be used only. So, when you mix it with water, ACV or olive oil it helps glides through it easier and it also adds on shine to your hair. If you have thin, limpy hair I would not recommend honey and olive oil.
How exactly does it help your hair? Just curious. I tend to want to know how something will affect me before I officially try it out...
really wanna try it but I really can't take the smell of honey so please comment if u try so I know it's worth it :)
I'll defenatly have to try some of these. except the one with coconut. I'm allergic. ugh.
