Eyeshadow is that one makeup product that can easily make or break your look.

Growing up I was that girl who definitely dibbled and dabbled in makeup. Thinking I was creating a masterpiece, more times than most I never realized how crazy I actually looked -- I just knew I was engaging in something I loved. Once I started college, makeup easily became my favorite pastime. Throwing on a little lipgloss, eyeliner and glitter eyeshadow was all I knew and nobody could tell me that I didn't look good -- at least that's what I thought back then. Little did I know, I had absolutely no clue how to truly work the flick of the wrist when it came to perfecting my makeup.
Fast forward a couple years and I became a pro at the game of makeup. I learned my likes, my dislikes and what products suited me. At this time in my life, I had given up on eyeshadow and realized I didn't need eyeshadow to have a beat face. That was until I was introduced to the amazing matte eyeshadows. Like matte lipsticks, matte eyeshadows are usually amazingly pigmented and have zero glitter -- which I loved. I immediately fell in love and although I don't wear eyeshadow often, when I do you can bet your bottom dollar it's always a matte shadow.
Unlike shadows with shimmer, matter shadows have little to no fall out, they last for hours, the color payoff is amazing and I mean they're matte. What's not love? At the end of the day, it all comes down to personal preference and what makes you look and feel good. Some prefer the vibrant colors matte shadows give off while others prefer the way shimmer shadow allows you to play up a look.

Ladies, do you prefer matte or shimmer eyeshadows?

I'm also nervous about this makeup thing. I see girls do some simple things that just don't cut it and I'm afraid to look like them. I'm not a fan of color even though I'd love to wear colored eye shadow sometimes, but I'm just afraid I won't do it right.I just stick with my matte earth colors because glitter gets everywhere and I hate it...but that's just me...
@Animaniafreak I think both shimmer and matte look good on hooded eyes, but matte is definitely more "on trend" right now. I'm not a super makeup-y person, so I get pretty nervous about experimenting too – but I think the best way to try out new looks is always to start small. Try lining your eyes with a bit of shimmer to start :)
it's ALWAYS key! @TerrecaRiley
@jordanhamilton @jlee37 comfort is key
nooooooo! lol not a $5 hooker, haha I def understand though. I'm just getting back into the swing of the eyeshadow game myself. but it's always good to just stick to what you're comfortable with :) @jlee37
