Why didn't I see this SOONER?!?!?!??!
Has that ever happened to you? You find a cute diy after you needed it.
Anyhow, I've been dying to throw an all-girls flamingo themed party to celebrate and jump-start the summertime, but went in a different direction. Maybe, what I'll do is throw a Last-Week-of-Summer party with these cute flamingo donuts!
If you thought this was how to actually make/fry donuts, I am sorry to say that I don't really know how. BUT...you can click here to learn.
Stuff you need for this adorable project:
Flamingo pattern (see below)
Pink Card Stock
Black Card Stock
Pink Donuts (make your own or buy them to save time)
Martha Stewart Metallic Paint
Hot Glue Gun
Foam Paint Brush
Use this flamingo pattern for the neck and the feathers. Discard the rest, or use for another project.
1. Start by cutting a simple flamingo shape from pink card stock, only cutting the head and tail. Using the black card stock, cut the flamingo’s beak, then glue it using a glue stick, to the flamingo’s beak.
2. Paint two skewers with silver metallic paint.
3. Using a hot glue gun, attach toothpicks to the flamingo’s neck and tail.
4. Assemble the flamingo by attaching the neck, tail and skewers to the doughnut. Give it a good poke.
And now you're left with FABULOUSNESS! ADORABLENESS! CUTENESS!
