5 Ways To Beat Rejection
Sometimes life hands us lemons, and sometimes life smashes them. When rejection strikes our number one move is to shut down. It's impossible to get things done when you're afraid of being rejected. Here are five ways to beat rejection and make your life as kick-ass as it should be.

1. Don't try to explain it.

We have no idea why we get rejected. We can do everything right, but still not be what that person is looking for. This is not the end of the world, because for every person you let down, there are ten more that are proud! You can torture yourself by trying to figure out what you did wrong. The truth is, you can't possibly know why someone rejected you, so you've got to accept it and move on. You're worth a lot, and you shouldn't let anyone tell you any different. You know what you did, who you are and what you want to become.
Nobody can take that away from you.

2. Always have a back up plan.

Didn't get the job you wanted? Didn't get into your first choice of college? Always have a back-up plan. This notion can come from hindsight, but still it's imperative that you give yourself as many options as possible. Never give yourself only one out, and never put your eggs in one basket. This will almost always lead to failure, and an increased sense of failure and rejection.
Don't give them the option to make you lose everything. Make sure you have other things in the works. That way you're never really rejected, just passed along to the next thing.

3. Combat rejection with humor

Humor and laughter can work wonders during tense and difficult times. Laughing at a cat video online or even taking solace in your favorite funny movies can elevate your mood and even make the stings of rejection fade.
Who doesn't love watching other people screw up? I know I do. It can help to know that it hasn't gotten the worst it can be, because somewhere, someone else is like...falling down a flight of stairs or something.

4. Engage with your favorite things.

Doing what you love is the number one thing you an do to distract yourself from feelings of loss and rejection. I love music, so whenever I'm feeling down I put on a playlist of my favorite songs and just tune everything out.
Whether you like sports, or music, fashion or movies, just get with your favorite things and you'll feel better in no time.

5. Remember that the only thing that can ACTUALLY stop you, is yourself.

You may have been rejected, hell you may have been fired, but the only way for you to climb back out of the pit you're in is to KEEP MOVING. Life doesn't stop for anyone. And no matter what fate befalls you at your job or in your life, one thing is certain, you are the one who can fix it.
Also, rejection isn't the worst thing in the world. One door slams in your face and another opens later. It's just how things work.
Facing rejection is not easy, but the only way to make sure you're creating a life for yourself is to take everything in stride, learn from your mistakes and never look back.
All of this is easier said than done, but all in all you'll thank yourself for being resillient and pulling through.
