Try it when you are really mad and frustrated. Try it when you feel so overwhelmed, something has to spill some where. I hate running. But when I am mad, I run like hell.
Maybe I am not mad right now, but I am sure as hell frustrated. I find myself sinking deep in laziness, instead of hitting the gym. And because of this, I am finding myself with no outlet. I can say writing is my outlet, but even that pisses me off sometimes. Because when you have writer's block, you feel mute. You feel something, but you can't articulate how you feel. It's like punching a wall, but feeling the wind instead.
That's why running works for me. The tension is crushed through every step that pounds the concrete. That is why I run -- fast.
