She leaned forward eagerly in her wire seat as you hesitantly looked away from her the other tables lined up neatly outside the cafe. A cool breeze pushed your hair into your eyes and you took the moment to delay answering the question, hoping she’d move on. Since the appearance of the bruise like marks all over your neck and collarbones had surfaced three months ago, Yureon had been on the hunt to find out as much about them as possible. It had taken her a surprising three minutes to deduce that they were from a man. As your self appointed best friend, she insisted that best friends shared stories of their lovemaking with their significant other. In her earnestness to get you to open up about the mystery man, she reveal more information than you’d like to know about her time with her partner. You’d only smile at her tales, growing more uncomfortable by the minute with them. Usually, if you stayed silent long enough, she’d grow weary of waiting and change the subject. Today was no different. “Nice try, Y/N.” She chuckled, playfully flicking your arm,”I still want to know who this mystery man is.” Yureon pressed the pad of her index finger firmly on purple mark on your collarbone,”From his evidence, he seems nice….At least give me the first part of his given name! I’ve been dying with curiosity for the past three months.” You wriggled your fingers, nervously tugging up the collar of your shirt to cover the mark,” It’s ‘Ho’..” Her eyes lit up,”Finally a hint! Hm…’Ho”…that’s funny, just like Hoseok.” She murmured,”Speaking of Hoseok, he should be here soon, but you know him…always late.” Yureon glanced at her watch,”He better not be late to our wedding next month, can you imagine..?” The waiter passed by the small table, asking if the two of you needed anything. As per usual Yureon sent a suspicious look between you and him. Somewhere along the way, she had conjured up the absurd notion that every male she came across while with you was your ‘mystery man’. At your unimpressed look and the waiter’s utter confusion (and possible the fact that his nametag said Jaechul), she backed off. Yureon waved him off and focused back on you,” So ‘Ho’ something..why won’t you tell me his full name or let me meet him? Is he secretly married? Y/N, are you being naughty?” You furiously shook your head,”No!” Delicately, your eyes lowered to the shiny diamond ring on Yureon’s left hand,”He’s not married.” You spoke truthfully. It was the truth. He wasn’t married. Yet. You still had a month. Green Tea Smoothies – Delicious, Healthy, and Help You Lose Weight
Celebrate summer with these yummy green tea smoothies! They're packed with seasonal fruit and all the nutrients your body needs, helping you eat smart and achieve your health goals. Researchers at Purdue University found that you stay fuller longer when you drink thick beverages like smoothies; replacing meals with smoothies ups your chance of losing weight and keeping it off for more than a year. Even if weight loss isn't one of your goals, drinking smoothies can help you sneak in more raw fruits and veggies into your diet. My dad, who's a total health nut, will throw everything from kale to tomatoes to raw beets into his VitaMix – but shockingly, you'd never know it! Using a little peanut butter, cinnamon, sweetened yogurt, or ripe strawberries can really mask the taste of less traditional ingredients. Why Green Tea? Green tea contains catechin polyphenols, which Swiss researchers have found significantly increase your body's metabolism of fat – meaning you burn more, faster. In addition, green tea contains less caffeine than coffee, which, coupled with the nutrients provided by other ingredients, will give you long lasting, non-jittery energy, unlike the buzz-crash-repeat vicious cycle of coffee. Give one (or all!) of these green tea smoothies a try – you won't be disappointed! Green Tea Goddess Smoothie 3 cups frozen green grapes 2 cups baby spinach, packed 1 1/2 cups strong brewed green tea, cooled 1 medium ripe avocado 2 teaspoons honey (or agave syrup) Avocados are packed with oleic acid, a healthy fat that's great for your heart. Plus, they've got more potassium than bananas, making them excellent supporters of healthy blood pressure levels. At only 139 calories, this low-cal concoction is better as a snack than a meal replacement. Source: Popsugar A Few Tips: Use frozen fruit. It's cheaper, easier to store, won't go bad, AND might even have more antioxidants than the fresh fruit you find in the supermarket, since it's picked and frozen at peak ripeness. To brew strong green tea, use two tea bags – but don't oversteep. Oversteeping can give your tea a bitter flavor that other ingredients might not succeed in masking.
