In case you haven't watched it yet, Broad City is one of the best comedies on TV right now. It's the most spot-on portrayal of female friendships, life in New York City, and drifting through your 20's in this day and age. Abbi and Ilana are hilarious main characters, and Ilana's over-the-top pizzazz for everything but work is matched by her crazy yet cool fashion sense. I've rounded up the five best outfits she's worn on the show for your viewing pleasure. Slackers-turned-fashion lovers, take note.
Season 1, Episode 10: The Last Supper
Ilana's matching bustier top and skirt is hilarious at Abbi's swanky birthday dinner, and even funnier when she's being carried out of the restaurant by a high-on-adrenaline Abbi. Maybe not the classiest of matching suits, but Ilana's not the classiest broad, either.
Season 2, Episode 1: In Heat
In the season 2 premiere, Ilana braves the heat in hotpants and a sports jersey, which looks anything but thrown-together with her matching baseball cap and black lipstick. This is a look that few of us could pull off, and we only say Ilana succeeded because we love her so much.
Season 2, Episode 7: Citizen Ship
For Jaime's American citizenship celebration, Ilana did her best attempt at patriotism the only way she knew how, with high waisted shorts and a barely-there shirt. But she has the red, white, and blue (and denim!) covered, so we'll give her that.
Season 1, Episode 5: Fattest A...
Ilana's party outfit for htis classic episode is typical, with a visible bralette and crop top, and no one can forget her clip-in "I Dream of Jeannie" braid, which she swung around the party. Because how could she not?
Season 2, Episode 5: Hashtag FOMO
This is a look I think a lot of girls would actually wear, with a palm-print romper (can you tell that it was a romper?) and cool collar. In this eccentric episode, Abbi was the crazier one and Ilana was the sane one as they hopped from party to party looking pretty stylish at that.
...and then we have episodes where she looks like this.
Stylish or not, Ilana's crazy get-ups are enough of a reason to watch the show, as if you needed another.
