Obey the Rules

Ok, so here are three simple rules in life, we should all obey. But I know, that a lot of people here on vingle are life quotes writters, who got to experience a lot in their lives, so I got a task for everyone out there! Comment on this card with a next number to be and add your own life rule, so in the end we will have a list of life rules for a perceft living (sort of haha). I will start with number four and you just continue the pattern. Feel free to clip this card so we will get as much participants as we can. #4 If it doesn't make you happy, it's not worth your energy.

5 Top Ways to Stay Focused
It may seem impossible to stay on track during workdays in a world filled with competing priorities and constant pings. If you've been having a tough time staying focused as well, worry not; you're not alone. In light of everything going on around the world, most workers worldwide are dealing with burnout in some way, shape, or form. Even those working remotely or in a virtual office space near me, have plenty of well-documented distractions to contend with. With that in mind, next time you feel stress creeping up while at work, try these five simple hacks that'll quickly allow you to take charge of your mind and develop laser-like focus. 1. The Eisenhower Decision Matrix We've all gone through this: you complete a series of tasks only to realize that most were, well, pointless. If you hate it when that happens, the Eisenhower Decision Matrix should help you ensure it never happens again. Also referred to as an Urgent-Important Matrix, the Eisenhower Matrix helps you prioritize and decide on tasks by importance and urgency, sorting out the less important and urgent tasks you should either delegate or not work on altogether. To use this system, you create four quadrants with different work strategies. The first quadrant is called the "Do First" quadrant, and it features a list of essential tasks you should start with. A great example could be reviewing a crucial document for your boss. The second quadrant is called the "Schedule" quadrant. It features important-but-not-urgent stuff that should be scheduled. A great example of tasks currently in my schedule quadrant is checking out a Calgary business centre. The third quadrant is called the "Delegate." It features urgent but less essential tasks you should delegate to others. An example of this could be suggesting a better person for a job handed to you. The last but by no means least quadrant is the "Don't Do" Quadrant. It features things that are neither important nor urgent. As such, these shouldn't be done at all. After creating your Eisenhower decision matrix, only focus on tasks in the first and second quadrant. 2. Manage Your Energy Your ability to manage your energy is essential for maximum productivity. As you already know, we all have distinct internal rhythms (hence the existence of early birds and night owls.) To take advantage of your inner rhythm, start by figuring out when you're most effective and focused. If it's early in the morning, make sure all major and urgent projects align with that timeframe. 3. Reward Yourself If the day is well past the period you're most effective, use reward systems to help you stay focused on work. For instance, promise to get yourself a cup of your favorite coffee when you're done with the tasks at hand. To stay focused the rest of the day, give your mind something to look forward to, such as taking a long, hot bath or watching an episode of your favorite podcast. 4. Write Down Distracting Thoughts Even the most dedicated workers have to deal with distracting thoughts from time to time. When these thoughts pop up, most individuals do one of two things. They either dismiss the idea and prevent getting distracted or chase it and head off on a new tangent. If you're the second type, a better approach is to allow the thoughts, then quarantine them. For example, if you remember you’re yet to create a grocery shopping list, write down the idea on a notepad and explore it later. Knowing you can get back to something in the future allows you to give closure to your thoughts without having to detract from your current focus. 5. Take Short Breaks Sometimes, when none of the tips above can help you get your mind back on track, the best thing to do is take a break. After all, our brains aren't designed to retain attention for extended periods. Couple that with the fact you've been staring at the screen for hours on end, and you'll see why fatigue and lethargy could be creeping in. The solution? According to the Journal Cognition, you should take short breaks after every 60 minutes of continuous work.
I Said No to a Religious Friend as She Lay Dying. Was I Right?
Religion is nothing but a crock used by people to fortify themselves against the frightening prospect of death, that chillingly inevitable end of life.  And when death impends, be that at war, in hospital, or on death row, people cling more desperately to that delusion.  Even nonbelievers walk on eggshells when faced with a dying person. We wonder: Is this really a good time to tread on their sensibilities and disabuse them of their crock? Not long ago I found myself in that quandary.  Someone I knew was dying, and I went to her deathbed to pay my respects. She was a woman who respected me as an elder of the Nigerian community in Cleveland.  She was also something of a protégé, having sought my advice repeatedly as she considered the proper advanced-degree path to pursue.  In my days as a scientific educator—when, also, two of my sons were in the university—I had become something of an information resource for my fellow Nigerians on matters like the choice of college to attend and the discipline of study, and especially how to tap into financial assistance programs available to good students and their parents in the U.S.  I chose to visit her when most of her friends and well-wishers would be at work. I was wary of the perplexed reactions of my fellow Nigerians when it became known that I am an atheist.  My friends told me I would come across much better as an agnostic or a pagan than an out-and-out atheist, for Nigerians are often ranked alongside Americans in sheer religiosity—of the pushy and loud sort.  It’s amazing that the very people whom religion has historically oppressed and denigrated the most (i.e. women, Blacks, colonized people) are the ones who cling to it most tenaciously!  The Nigerian media go so far as to estimate that one in three houses in the cities and townships of the Christian south of the country are used nowadays as churches, chapels, temples, tabernacles, or other places of worship.  “Nigerian atheist” is considered an oxymoron. Those who know I was raised a Catholic—and, to boot, an altar boy able to recite the entire Eucharist liturgy in Latin and English—profess themselves baffled by my apostasy.  Read the full article: https://www.fadewblogs.eu.org/2021/11/I-said-no.html
Wooord!
I guess everyone has some people around them (or maybe not even around, but somewhere), who just hate you, for no real reason. Those, so called people can be your school mates, your friend's freinds, someone you go to college with, your co-workers, or just any other, random people. Those people are usually people we never talk to, and actually never had, but somehow they think they know us, which is letting them to think they have a right to judge you. But, if you worry about them, than you are just stupid. Those people think they know you, they spend hours per day thinking about you. Yes - hating on someone and talking shit about someone is actually thinking of that someone. And you know what? If I tell you about my experience... I have quite a group of people that I "know". Well, they were just empty bodies, strolling down the path of my life, nothing meaningful. Those are the people I don't even know their last names. And they somehow know everything about me, and they feel so happy when talking shit about me. Well, I guess I won. I represent a celebrity figure in their small, meaningless lives. They are spending a lot of their moment on hating on me, and if they are actually so jelous of my life, well than let they! If talking shit about me makes them feel better, let they do it. I don't care. I don't know them. I will never meet them. If they die (sorry for exaggerating) I won't even know, if I die (again, sorry) their world would change like a lot. I am such a big part of their lives, bud saddly it only goes one way - for all the haters out there: Sorry, but who the fuck are you?
It's always up to you!
First of all, I am really happy to be back, to be vingle active. I took some time, away from all the internet and mass media kind of life, which I think it is something everyone of us should do every once in a while. It feels so good. But I have to say, I did miss Vingle, I missed all you lovely vinglers, sharing interesting and funny cards, and now, I am ready for round 2.0. And what is better to post, that this amazingly deep picture (which I am sure, a lot of you have already seen it, am I right?) But in case you havent, take a couple of minutes, read the text carefuly and think. Reading it over and over again makes it even better. It is a great example to approve that it is always up to us, everything. A bad thing, doesn't always have to be a bad thing, you can try and find something positive, and if you try really hard, I'm sure you'll find it. It's only a matter of perspective, and it is so easy, just to flip the case over and embrace the situation. Even if you don't agree with me, at least try. It took me quite a long time to realize this meaningful message, but now I can say, my way of thinking changed. And for the better. Think good, be good and spread the good. I share this card with all the vinglers, but at the same time I want to say "Hi" to some of you: @allischaaff @marshalledgar @alywoah @LauraFisher @TerrecaRiley @nicolejb @shannonl5 @2littlelegs @TessStevens @LizArnone @danidee @skee292 @buddyesd @onesmile @VinMcCarthy @ShadowAnggel87
