How MS Made Her a Better Runner
Prepare yourself: this story might make you a little weepy.
I'll be the first to admit that I hate running, so I can't say that I would ever choose running if I were faced with a situation like this. But I there are things that I love doing, that I would be heart broken to have taken away from me.

For Kayla, that thing was running. And when she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) at age 15, she was really, really sad about it. Eventually, though, she realized that she didn't want to waste any time she had left--didn't want to leave any miles unrun. And so, she started running again.
Even though she cannot feel her legs while she is running and has to be caught at the end of a race and cooled down so she can feel them again, she still chooses to run.

Her story is (without a doubt) inspiring. We aren't all able to make these kind of choices. Is it easy to look into the face of impossibility and say "I'll still do it?" No. It's not.
But listening to her advice in this TEDx talk: sometimes, all you can do is do something, and that will be enough!
(Oh, and for those who are wondering, because I got curious too!! She made it to the NCAA Division 1 level for Lipscomb University and is still running. You can show your support on her FB page!)
