So you just graduated, moved to a big city with a couple friends and have pretty much no idea what you're doing. It's the cliche story of every twenty-something, and no one tells it better than the girls of Girls. So if you're out there thinking you're doing everything wrong, don't worry, you're not alone. Follow in the footsteps of these ladies. They're a little older, but probably not that much wiser...either way, they figured it out and you will too!!
Panic, a little.
It's okay to feel like you have no idea what you're doing. A couple months from now, you'll look back and wonder why you wasted so much time worrying.
Remember that it's all going to be okay.
This is crucial to your sanity. You've had hard times before, and you'll have them again. It's worked out before, and it'll work out this time.
Live a little.
Work is stressful, relationships are stressful, so take a break and have some fun. You only live once, as they say, so make the most of your post-grad years.
Drink a little less.
Sorry but you might have to kick those college drinking habits. Getting wasted every night of the week might not fly anymore, so get used to drinking casually.
Get over yourself.
You might have been a big fish in the small pond of college, but real life is different. Don't turn your nose up at any opportunity because you never know where it will lead.
Learn to love yourself (and find friends that love you for you).
There are times during your post-grad life when you'll feel totally alone, and you've got to be there for yourself. Having a couple awesome friends there to help doesn't hurt either. Figure out who you are and surround yourself with people who love you for it.
