Crucial to creating an enviable TV friend group is establishing the hangout spot. It's the place where every story starts and ends, or at least it's where characters recount stories to the whole gang.
Each of these places have their own unique charm that fits perfectly with the show!! For me, every hangout spot has a booth I want to sit in or a meal I want to eat, just so I can feel like I'm part of that show for a little bit.
Chubbie's - Boy Meets World
Major throwback! Chubbie's housed so many of Cory and Shawn's classic middle school moments: double dates, first kisses, first friend fights, etc. Even though Chubby himself looked super greasy and unsanitary, I wanted nothing more than to eat a burger and sit in one of those comfy red booths.
Central Perk - Friends
Who doesn't want to sit on the big orange couch? Obviously the Friends gang has first dibs, but still, that couch is iconic. To sit in Central Perk and have Rachel mess up my order while Phoebe serenades me with Smelly Cat, ah that's the dream.
Paddy's Pub - It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Probably not the place to go for smiling faces, Paddy's Pub is the ultimate dive bar. The insults are flying and the drinks are flowing, and I want nothing more than to sit in Paddy's Pub and hopefully overhear a detailed explanation of the D.E.N.N.I.S. System.
Monk's Cafe - Seinfeld
Aka The Coffee Shop. Really the only social gathering spot for Seinfeld and friends besides Jerry's apartment, Monk's was more than a coffee shop - it was the breakfast, lunch and dinner place. Mmmmm I want to order one of those delicious looking milkshakes from Ruthie so much.
The Krusty Krab - Spongebob
Kind of a weird hangout, but throughout my childhood I really wanted to eat a Krabby Patty from The Krusty Krab. For some reason, the animated hamburger looked super appealing to me, and I'd be totally willing to interact with Squidward's horrible attitude if I got to eat one.
Luke's - Gilmore Girls
The ultimate small town diner, Luke's probably has the most charm of all these hangouts. Not that Luke himself has any charm. It's the kind of place that I want to become a regular, so that every time I walk in Luke already knows I want a burger and fries. And five cups of coffee, of course.
MaClaren's Pub - How I Met Your Mother
Every good story involves MaClaren's. Not only is it a regular spot, it's a regular booth. MaClaren's is part of the group in my opinion. I'd love to grab a drink there, and to be totally honest, I wouldn't mind being hit on by Barney.
