Gather 'round Vinglers! With so great activity happening in the various alcoholic communities, my first idea was to have a Global Field Trip where the 50 of us (or so...) hop on plane and booze our way from this city to the next--meeting each other in person for all kinds of imbibery.
However, that's just not practical.
So, while I am thinking REALLY HARD about how to do it, I need your help. To get the wheels turning in your own heads, here's what you need to do:
1. State the cocktail and recipe and directions in comment below.
2. Comment as much as you like. One idea per comment.
3. Use HEARTS to like and UP VOTE a drink. The cocktail with the most hearts will be the winner.

WHAT IF YOUR DRINK WINS?

#1. I WILL DRINK THE WINNING DRINK
#2. I will randomly choose another Vingler's suggestion to drink also.
#3. I will share pics and updates on how it tasted and if I liked it or not.

@marshalledger One of my favorite drinks is LA Water. It looks questionable and there are several different liquors in it but it tastes so good. L.A. Water L.A. Water Drink Ingredients 1/2 oz. Vodka 1/2 oz. Gin 1/2 oz. Rum (Light) 1/2 oz. Triple Sec 1/2 oz. Blue Curacao 1/2 oz. Raspberry Liqueur Sweet & Sour Mix Garnish: Lemon Wedge (Optional) Instructions Pour vodka, gin, rum, triple sec, blue curacao and raspberry liqueur into a glass with ice. Fill it with sweet and sour mix. Comments This is like an Adios Mother but with raspberry liqueur.@PurpleChick
So far, it looks like I will be drinking LA Water in a few hours!!!!!! @purpleChick @rodiziketan @stacyk80
my favorite is a wild west fling cocktail: Ingredients: Pineapple juice Cranberry juice Peach Schnapps Midori Melon Liquor Directions: Put 1 oz of the Midori liquor in a cocktail glass. 聽Next, pour in 1 oz of peach schnapps. If you want to produce separate layers, you need to use a big spoon for the next part. 聽 Now you will want to add equal amounts of the juices to your liking. Put the back of the spoon up against the side of the glass. Slowly pour the pineapple juice down the side of the glass against the spoon. 聽Because of the differences in density, the pineapple juice will sit on top of the alcohol layer and not mix. Next, do the same thing with the cranberry juice. 聽
Ok, so I thought about this and I would definitely go with The Bramble. It is a great drink for summer that brings together dry gin, some freshly squeezed lemon juice, simple (sugar) syrup and creme de mure (blackberry liqueur). It is served with crushed ice, over which the cocktail is poured. The visual 'trickle down' effect makes the drink irresistible. It is classy, yet fruity :)
@stacyk80 I hward of it but never did I think im going to give it a try :)
