A unique first-ever bill in the United States was passed in Oregon, automatically registering all eligible Oregonians to vote when they obtain or renew a driver’s license or state identification card.
If you don’t want to vote. Easy, just opt out via email. But who would want to do that?
Forreal though: Why do we even have to register for voting? Voting is a right that all Americans receive, why aren’t we exercising it?
In Denmark, all citizens are voters and there is a 85% that to the U.S. 2012 turnout of 57.5%... Maybe it was due to the pain of registration, so Oregon made it easier. Let’s do that for all states, shall we?
To all the people out there who don’t want to vote, think back to how we struggled to obtain the vote and then you’ll want to go out and vote, right? Also, just watch this trailer and get excited with me (yeah it takes place in Britain, but still).
Awesome!! That's such a great idea! Why didn't we think of this sooner???
Forreal though @allischaaff! Why did we even set up this whole “registered voter” thing?
