This DIY tutorial is great for repurposing old t-shirts into a cute tank top for summer or for workouts. Plus, if you aren't savvy with a needle and thread, you can easily use a hot-glue gun or fabric glue instead.
All you need for this project is a t-shirt (make sure that it isn't a fitted t-shirt) and a needle and thread (or a hot-glue gun or fabric glue if you don't want to use a needle and thread).
Make a tank top
To begin, cut the t-shirt into a racerback tank top design. To do this, cut off the sleeves and the collar. You can make the arm-holes a little bigger in the back for a more racerback look.
Prepare the braid
Cut across the top of the tank top, just below the neck area. Then, cut three strips down the back of the tank top. You can make these strips as long or a short as you want.
Take the three strips and braid them all the way to the end. Then use a needle and thread to attach the braid to the neck area (or use glue).
