5 Kanye West Quotes That Actually Make Sense
Yeezus gets a lot of flack for being outrageous, ridiculous, totally self-absorbed and a complete a-hole, but come on. He's got some wisdom in that brain of his.
The proof is below.

1. "I could let these dream killers kill my self esteem, or use my arrogance as a steam to power my dreams."

This one is kind of convoluted, but it still gets across the idea that you have to let the haters go and have faith in your strengths. Yeezy is anything but self-deprecating, and those of us who have a hard time accepting ourselves can definitely take
2."There ain't no tuition for having no ambition and ain't no loans for sitting your ass at home."
Yes! Yeezy is taking us to school, literally. If you don't go out and do for yourself, you're never going to get ahead. You can't further your life without ambition and goals. Whether your path is to go to college, or not. This quote just cements the fact that doing nothing will get you nowhere.

3. "The prettiest people do the ugliest things."

This lyric from All Falls Down, one of his first singles, is wise beyond Yeezy Years (is that a measure of time?). Sometimes the outside doesn't always match the inside, and we can't always assume that people are as kind or put together as they appear.

3. "If you have the opportunity to play this game of life you need to appreciate every moment. A lot of people don't appreciate the moment until it's passed."

Preach 'Ye. A lot of us are guilty of flying by all of the important things in life. I know I am, and Yeezy definitely enjoys himself. That's totally obvious. Taking the time to appreciate the things around us, you know, smell the roses or whatever is an amazing thing to do, and it's necessary to live a full life.
5. "We all in the same game, just different levels. Dealing with the same hell, just different devils."
This is parallel to the fact that we never know what's going on with the people around us. They could be fighting secret battles that we will never know or understand. Kanye astutely points out that everyone is in the same world, living with similar issues. We have to appreciate and treat each other with respect, because at the basest level, we're all human.

Praise Yeezus
