Changing the Appearance of Your Eyes: Eyeliner 101
Perfecting your eyeliner game can take years to master. Ask any girl who has gone through every tutorial on YouTube, read every trick within a beauty magazine, or received advice from friends and family on how to accomplish that perfect look; practice makes perfect when it comes to nailing this beauty routine. Here's a quick reference that tells you how to transform your eye shape through the use of different eyeliner application.
For the appearance of eyes that are farther apart: Use liner to make the line thicker towards the outer corner of your eye.
For the appearance of eyes that are closer together: Add your liner to your top lash line and make the liner thicker towards the inner corner of your eye.
For the appearance of oval eyes: Apply your liner to the top lash line and thicken in the middle and towards the ends of your eyes.
For the appearance of rounder eyes: Apply eye liner to the top and bottom lash lines, but do not connect at the end. Try and make the outside corner thicker on the top lid and the line thinner towards the inner corner of your eye on the bottom lid.
For the appearance of larger eyes: Apply eyeliner to the top lash line and coat the bottom lash line using a lighter (usually white) color of liner.
For the appearance of smaller eyes: Apply heavy coats of eyeliner to the top and bottom lash lines using a dark color of liner and extend the line to the very edge of where your eye starts and ends.
