Martini

I went classy today and what is classier than one chilled martini? To make a perfect martini, first put your martini glass in the freezer for about 30 minutes so it gets chilled. Than shake 2oz of high quality gin, 1/2 oz of dry vermouth and lots of ice. Strain it to your chilled martini glass and garnish with one or three olives (it depends on the size of your glasses). Do you like martini? Do you prefer a vodka based martini over gin?

Wish I liked gin. it just doesn't sit right. vodka, yes. this looks good. trick for faster colder glasses: wet paper towel and wrap glass. chill in freezer 5 minutes. FREEZING COLD

In honor of National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day, here is a deliciously fun way to get your chocolate chip cookie fix during happy hour: Chocolate Chip Cookie Shot Glasses! And in case you think I am making this holiday up, you can find it , and a ton of other national holidays that will blow your mind at National Day Calendar online. This 4 1/2 star recipe comes from All Recipes user, Nicole Faust Hunt, called "Absolutely The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies." To make the shot glasses, you will need a 'popover' pan. Otherwise, you can make these using small cupcake pans. However, the shape of the glass will not look like a shot glass. Ingredients: 1 cup butter flavored shortening (not butter) 3/4 cup white sugar 3/4 cup brown sugar 2 eggs 2 teaspoons Mexican vanilla extrac t2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 2 cups milk chocolate chips Chocolate candy melts (for later) Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease the pan. In a large bowl, cream together the butter flavored shortening, brown sugar and white sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well with each addition, then stir in the vanilla .Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually stir into the creamed mixture. Finally, fold in the chocolate chips. Press the cookie dough into the popover pan bottom and sides. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, until light brown. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely. Separately, melt the chocolate candy melts in a microwave or a double boiler. Once the cookie shot glasses have cooled, spoon in the candy melts, covering the bottom and inside cookie walls. This will harden relatively quick, or you can put it in the fridge. This coating will prevent liquids from being absorbed into the cookie. Orange Creamsicle Cocktail
I was in the mood all day today for some orange flavored jello. But I don't know how to make it, even with a box and some "add this to this and mix" instructions. I just couldn't be bothered with that. Then I thought of Orange Julius, which would be great with vodka. Yet the more I thought about it, I thought, WHY NOT MAKE SOMETHING NEW FOR A CHANGE?!?!?!?! @rodiziketan is a Vingler that is pretty much an expert in all things mixology. He practically makes a new drink every day. His liquor cabinet is loaded with at least 20 bottles of liquor. He also preaches, "USE FRESH SQUEEZED JUICES" whenever possible. Orange Creamsicle Ingredients 3 oz Orange Soda 1 oz Whipped Cream Flavored Vodka 1 TBSP Sweetened Condensed Milk Whipped Cream Sprinkles Directions Add ice to a low-ball style cocktail glass. Add orange soda pop, whipped cream flavored vodka, and sweetened condensed milk Stir gently. Do not over-stir or you will lose the carbonated bubbles Top with whipped cream. Garnish with sprinkles. This is what I wanted. Still has the vodka and orange, but without the ice cream and orange juice. It's got carbonated bubbles, sprinkles and that luxe creamy texture of the condensed milk. And SWEET!
Japanese Sake Has Amazing Benefits For Your Skin

Fall Wedding Must: Caramel Apple Martinis
If you're getting married this Fall and Caramel Apple Martinis are NOT ON YOUR cocktail menu, PLEASE, WHY?! Okay, let's start over. If you're wedding is this Fall, then THIS IS YOUR MUST-HAVE cocktail! The Caramel Apple Martini (or carameltini, as it's sometimes called) is a martini with October leaves, Indian Summer bliss and apple orchard nostalgia. Sounds amazing, right? Let's not delay the imbibery... Caramel Apple Martini Ingredients 2 ounces Apple Cider 2 ounces Caramel Vodka 1 ounce Butterscotch Schnapps Sliced fresh apple, caramel, and / or cinnamon sugar for garnish. Rim your martini glass with caramel or cinnamon sugar. To get the cinnamon sugar to stick to the glass, dip the rim in a little apple cider, then the cinnamon sugar. Combine the apple cider, caramel vodka, and butterscotch schnapps in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously. Pour mixture into the rimmed martini glass and garnish with a slice of fresh apple. Simple. Delicious. Impossible not to be a favorite! It’s a little on the sweet side, so it would pair very nicely with a salty appetizer. It could also finish up a meal as a substitute for a sweet dessert.
