Key & Peele have one of the best sketch comedy shows on television. The synergy between the dynamic duo is undeniable.
With that being said, last week was the first time I saw a moment of weakness on the show. I think K&P bit an old skit from Dave Chappelle on the show.
The skit in question is called "Rap Album Confessions."
During the skit, Key, playing a police detective, attempts to extract a murder confession from Peele. Peele plays the part of multi platinum-selling rapper Gun Rack.

The skit is funny, but not original.

The sketch is reminiscent of Dave Chappelle's timeless "Tupac is Alive/Wrote This Song In '94" skit.
The skit plays around the storyline of Tupac being alive and focused on songs that may have spilled the beans on a fake death.

Very funny, very original.

Checkout both the videos above. Watch the rollout of the jokes. While they may have a different setting, the theme of "rappers exposing themselves" is used in both for sure.

I made the food, it's your turn to do the dishes.

They're similar, but I think they're different enough too. I think if they were both about NWA's 'alleged activities' lol or both about Tupac's death, then I'd have to be like waaaaiitt upppp.
