You won't think it's easy, but it's easier said than done.

It happens every single day. We put others before ourselves. You wake up every single day and wonder why it's so hard for someone to love you, let alone for you to love yourself.
It's a struggle that comes deep from within. You hate yourself for the obvious reasons -- the acne, the stretch marks, the five pounds you gained at your family reunion, but why? Your flaws make you beautiful and you don't even realize that.
You remember the days when your mom and dad saying "I Love You" was more than enough. Now that you're older, you search for those three words in people who just can't seem to love you, but the person who is capable of loving you better than anyone else is you and your false realities are hindering you from realizing that.
If you knew that getting older would come with so many negatives you would've took more advantage of your child hood and let those comforting words from your parents sink in allowing you to learn to love yourself as well.
In order to be able to truly love someone else, you must first love yourself. Of course, it's not easy. We all struggle daily with loving ourselves, but it's worth it. You're probably thinking if someone else won't even take the time out to love us -- why should we take the time out to love ourselves? It's simple. You're all you have at the end of the day and if you don't love yourself, nobody will.
The thing about loving yourself is that it's never too late to begin. You don't have to wait until something serious happens to begin focusing on self love.
Self love is the best kind of love and it opens doors for others. Be the first to take that step and open the door so that later on down the road others will be able to follow your lead.
What are you waiting for? You hold the key -- unlock the door and start loving yourself today, not tomorrow. That man [woman] that broke your heart couldn't love you the way you wanted them to love you because you didn't love yourself. Love yourself and the next man [woman] who walks into your life will love you exactly how you've been wanting to love and you will have self love and self respect to thank.

as if you were a rainbow
with gold at both ends.”
