“Apparently Mr. Trump thought the question was unfair and felt I was attacking him. I felt he was asked a tough but fair question. We agree to disagree.” - Megyn Kelly

GOP business tycoon Donald Trump and Fox New's anchor Megyn Kelly are mutually agreeing to not apologize following Trump's inappropriate comments at the Republican Presidential Debate. Trump is claiming that Kelly asked him unfair questions while she continues to defend herself after he made very derogatory and shocking comments.
"You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever." - Trump
So far Trump is making an impact on the nation, partly from his star power and partly from pure entertainment. In America, it's no shock that the people love to watch their presidential debates as they would a reality tv show which is what makes Trump appealing. Even Kelly has acknowledged that Trump is leading the polls, very popular among the public, and continuing to be successful in the television ratings. However, Kelly is not taking any slack from Trump just to get a reaction.

Currently the Internet is exploding with personal tweets and stories from the public about how ridiculous it is that Trump believed a reference to female menstruation was an insult. The hashtag #PeriodsAreNotAnInsult is sweeping social media. This is another key aspect to the extremely powerful women's movement currently taking place in the United States. With feminism on the rise, traditionally taboo topics have been ultimately discarded. (AS THEY SHOULD.) Women are more powerful than ever and have finally started to see an equal stance in the country at large. There is no room for a sexist president.

"I certainly will not apologize for doing good journalism, so I’ll continue doing my job without fear or favor." - Megyn Kelly

Kelly referred to Trump as an "interesting man who has captured the attention of the electorate". Trump is the only GOP presidential candidate who has said that he could still possibly run as an independent which would be a huge issue for the Republican party. Kelly continued to note that "This is a tough business," and, "it's now time to move forward". Trump will continue to be an issue for Kelly if he gains more steam. And Trump will have to make a decision as to if he would like to use her to his advantage or abandon her support if he is the one who is selected as the Republican ticket.
If Trump wins, there's always the option of moving to Canada.

Fox News supports Kelly's unapologetic address.

Fox News Chairman and CEO, Roger Ailes, stepped in to make it very clear of where the company was taking a stance, and it was with Kelly. However, Trump seemed to continue on unscathed tweeting, " Roger Ailes just called. He is a great guy & assures me that 'Trump' will be treated fairly on @FoxNews. His word is always good!" Though Ailes made it clear that his conversation with Trump was "blunt but cordial", he remained reassuring,"Donald Trump and I spoke today. We discussed our concerns, and I again expressed my confidence in Megyn Kelly." Ailes also said that Kelly was a "brilliant journalist" whom he supports "100 percent". Fox also reassured the public that the campaign will still be covered with "fairness and balance". Everything is settled with Trump, for now.

Do you think Trump's commentary was appropriate?

I think Megyn Kelly is the real MVP of all of this! She didn’t insult Trump at all...only using his words against him.
