The Eagles fans are sick and tired of losing. They have placed their faith in the players and coaches but the team hasnt seen a ring since 1960.
If Philly is to make a run it will be due to stellar play from their new quarterback, Sam Bradford. Problem is that Bradford has suffered season ending knee injuries in the past two seasons.
Desperate to find a solution to the problem, the fans have turned to a higher power than coach Chip Kelly.
Ambitious Eagles fans started a Change.org petition asking for Pope Francis to bless the knees of Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford.
"This town deserves a Super Bowl," the petition says, "and a healthy Bradford is the only way we will have a parade down Broad Street! Please sign this petition and Go Eagles and Welcome to Philly, Pope Francis!!!!"
The Pope is scheduled to visit Philadelphia in late September and will give Mass on on Sept. 27, (which just so happens to be the day the Eagles play a game against the New York Jets at the Meadowlands.)
I’m crying over here.
Did Philly fans really call upon divine intervention to protect Bradford and his knee?
