Summer may be just about over here pretty soon, but that doesn't mean the good times are behind us. My grandmother always said that every season should have reasons to celebrate. In honor of my late grandmother and in collaboration with Vingler, @MarshallEdgar, here is a simple way to make your own All-Season Sparkling Punch.
Keep in mind, if you don't drink wine or you abstain from drinking alcohol, simply substitute sparkling cider for the wine.

2 bottles sparkling white wine (or non-alcoholic sparkling cider)
1/2 cup light simple syrup (click here for @MarshallEdgar's simple syrup recipes)
1 apple
1 pear
1 starfruit
1 orange
1 grapefruit
1 lime
edible flowers for garnish

Core and slice the fruits very thin using a mandolin.
Fill the bottom of a large punch bowl with the fruits.
Pour the simple syrup and wines into the punch bowl.
Stir very well without splashing.
Add edible flowers for garnish.
What's your end of Summer/pre-Fall celebration? Maybe it's the back-to-school excitement. Maybe it's the change from one season to another. Whatever the reason, have a delicious and safe celebration!
