TV Show Wedding Dresses, Ranked

Most of us are suckers for a good TV wedding. The best sitcom weddings have just enough laughs and just enough tearjerker moments, and also, a really good wedding dress. Whether the wedding was adorable or not, these are some of the most well-known weddings on TV, and I ranked the wedding dresses worn by our favorite brides.

Monica Geller on FRIENDS: A

I'm a sucker for a simple wedding dress. With the additions of a beautiful veil and jewelry, the look had just enough for me, and Monica looked elegant and timeless in this dress. I also appreciate dresses that aren't strapless, as everyone seems to opt for strapless these days, and it's getting overdone. The lace on her neckline was delicate and sweet but not overdone, and combined with the simple gown, looked sleek and chic.

Leslie Knope on Parks and Recreation: B

The newspaper dress idea was adorable in thought, but in practice lead to a not-too-stylish wedding dress. I'm torn on this one, because the shorter dress is a bit more age-appropriate, but I also felt like Leslie deserved a slightly less cutesy style than this one. It was such a sweet TV wedding, and Leslie looked great, but the lace short sleeves and black sash were just all a bit too bridesmaid to me.

Lily Aldrin on How I Met Your Mother: A-

Lily's dress was so sweet, girly, and stylish, just like her. Marshall and Lily are my favorite TV couple, and while their wedding had many mishaps and slip-ups, the wedding dress was pretty great. The sparkly beaded top was perfect for Lily, but I'm not crazy about the added bow, which was a bit too precious. Her hair and general styling looked elegant and sweet.

Phoebe Buffay on FRIENDS: C+

I adore Phoebe and Mike, and their wedding in the snow was adorable, but I never understood her dress. Not only is it far from my favorite style on anyone, but it seemed so far from Phoebe's personality to want a shiny bustier top with rhinestone buttons. The style seemed a little tacky to me with her tight blonde curls, and Phoebe's bohemian aesthetic deserved a great dress to match.

Carla Espinosa on Scrubs: A-

Carla's dress was absolutely beautiful. Her wedding to Turk was far from perfect, but their marriage was rock-solid and the dress kicked it off well. The neckline is a bit more interesting than a straight-across neck, and the gathered waist added some interest to an otherwise understated look. I also adore the simple styling of her hair, which draws attention to the neckline of her dress and doesn't look fussy.

Pam Beesly on The Office: B

Jim and Pam's wedding was THE BEST. As beautiful as Pam looked, I have mixed feelings on her dress. To her credit, her options were limited accomodating a baby bump. I love the beaded empire waist to allow the fabric to skim over her belly, but I felt like the sweetheart neckline of her dress, especially combined with her translucent necklace, were a bit too cheesy.

Blair Waldorf on Gossip Girl: A+

For Blair's second and most important wedding to Chuck Bass, she wore the most breathtakingly unconventional gown, and it was tasteful, elegant, and perfect. The slim fit and long sleeves are a beautiful contrast to a more typical strapless princess gown like the one she wore to her first wedding. Leave it to Blair to wear a headband to her own wedding, and make it look absolutely amazing. Combined with Chuck's white suit with matching accents, this was the perfect wedding to end the show, and a perfect dress to get married in.

The Most Fashionable Friends on TV
Friends on TV are great because their lives are crazy and dramatic, but they still remind us of our own friendships and personal relationships. On top of that, in the cases of many TV shows, the friends are so fashionable that they give us major style envy. In reality, most friend groups have much more similar fashion senses, or maybe just one friend who's the fashionable one. I firmly believe that a group of fashionable friends is better than one stand alone style star, so let's take a look at some of the most fashionable friends on TV to draw inspiration from this week. 1. Sex and the City Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda are so known for their clothes that the outrageous outfits are enough of a reason alone to watch the show. While the clothes themselves (and their often designer labels) are pretty unrealistic, the drastically different style preferences of the four friends is also a little crazy. All the same, we can't help but love these ladies and their fashion choices, good or bad! 2. Pretty Little Liars While Hanna, Aria, Emily, and Spencer have definitely suffered their fair share of fashion misteps and accessory overloads, they're overall an undeniably fashionable foursome. When you consider their personalities, from bookish Spencer to Emily the athlete, it doesn't always make sense how well-accessorized these girls are, but they're inspirational all the same. 3. Gossip Girl Whether as a twosome or with their faithful (and often fashionable) minions, Blair and Serena are arguably the most fashionable girls to grace our TV screens, and we miss them everyday for the envy-sparking fashions they wore. While the designer shopping bags and labels weren't exactly attainable, these girls demonstrated their best friend bond through clothing, and we can all aspire to do the same. 4. Beverly Hills, 90210 Through feuds and friendship, Kelly, Donna, and Brenda were the most fashionable friends that you couldn't help but follow in the 90's. Through love triangles, romance and friendship drama, these ladies were undeniably fashionable, and as the 90's have become in style once again today, we can all get some crop-top and denim inspiration from the sassiest high schoolers around. 5. 90210 (reboot) The 2008 remake of the beloved soap opera was so dialed-up fashion-wise, it's comparable to Gossip Girl, only for the West Coast. Annie, Naomi, Silver, and really all their other come-and-go friends (I'm looking at you, Ivy!) were so fashionable, they weren't really believable as high school students. Like their predecessors mentioned above, throughout love and friendship drama galore, these ladies let fashion guide the way, and we can all take note. 6. Lipstick Jungle Whether or not you watched the too briefly on TV Lipstick Jungle, you can appreciate how on-point these three friends kept their personal styles. Victory, Wendy, and Nico may have been a bit silly as characters, but their professional careers and high-fashion outfits to match gave me serious envy for how I wish I could dress as a working adult, and the friendships that could last for life. 7. Charlie's Angels Sabrina, Jill, and Kelly were the original trio of badass friends that we have all grown up referencing, and their 70's fashion gives us another reason to admire the leading ladies. From spandex to suede, and everything 70's in between, these girls embodied power dressing, and set a great example of strong women, and just how fashion-forward they can be.
Which TV Couple Are You and Your Significant Other?
TV is full of cliche couple types, but like they say, they're cliches for a reason. I'm willing to bet that plenty of you Vinglers in relationships can relate to a couple of these couples. Chuck & Blair You're the power couple. Only your significant other really understands why you're so motivated to be the very best. You're both independent and can do your own thing, but at the end of the day, you want to come home to each other. While you might have a bit of a complicated past, it was all worth it for the loving place you two are at in your relationship now. Jim & Pam You're the funny couple. You two bond over jokes, pranks and a shared sense of humor. You were best friends before you dated. You're the couple that everyone knew would end up together, it just took you guys a while to get there. Ross & Rachel You're the on again off again couple. You've been friends, you've dated, you've broken up and gotten back together plenty of times. You two have a bumpy past, but in the end, you always come back to each other. Marshall & Lily You're the goofy couple. You've got funny nicknames for each other, an adorable story of how you first met and you're so in sync that you constantly finish each other's sentences. The two of you have been together for so long and are so perfect for each other that everyone sort of just sees you as one. Carrie & Mr. Big You're the passionate couple. Your past is definitely a little rocky and you've both been with other people, but this relationship is always in the back of your mind. You can't stand to watch the other with someone new, you fight constantly when you're together, but for some reason, it's all worth it. I've always wanted to end up in a relationship like Jim & Pam, but that might just be because I'm in love with John Krasinski. Which TV couple are you and your significant other most similar to?

9 Times the Clothes on Gossip Girl Were Too Good to be True
Gossip Girl was a great guilty pleasure show for so many reasons, and fashion was a central element. Who didn't see Serena and Blair's gorgeous wardrobes and get envious chills? While the designer labels are unattainable for obvious reasons, the clothes worn were also unrealistic and outrageous aside from their giant price tags. I'm calling out the show for ten times they gave us unrealistic fashion aspirations. 1. When all of these looks were passable school uniforms. I've always been confused what exactly the dress code of Constance Billard asked its students to wear, as their variations of black, white and pink with neckties are questionable to say the least. From button-up blouses to cotton tees and neck flowers, the students look anything but uniform in their ensembles. 2. When Blair made colored tights a legitimate trend. I can attest that Blair's penchant for brightly-colored tights made the style so appealing that plenty of girls both on and off-screen (okay, maybe me included) flocked to buy them. In reality, neon tights are a questionable choice for everyday, especially for what's supposed to be a prim and proper look. Black and sheer patterned tights are one thing (that she pulled off as well), but bright red or yellow gams are tough for even the queen herself to wear. Blair could have done us all a favor by sticking with neutrals. 3. When Serena pulled off this many ruffles. No one could wear a dress composed of yellow ruffles and still look as heartbreakingly beautiful as Serena did to her mother's wedding. It aptly looks like a bridesmaid's nightmare of a dress, but Serena is modelesque wearing it nonetheless. The heavy black belt and neck flower are also questionable additions that I'm sad to say few could pull off like she did. 4. When Vanessa went pantsless to a party and looked both normal and, actually, good. Okay, so it was a beach-themed party, but it was also in a college dorm, and while a bikini top and shorts might be somewhat acceptable for this kind of soiree, a top without pants isn't quite normal. Of course, Vanessa, looked amazing and no one questioned her bare legs. 5. When Serena wore this dress and didn't look remotely like a bride. I've never been to a legitimate white party like the one in the Hamptons that the gang attended, so maybe I'm wrong, but usually if someone wore what Serena wore here, they would look downright bridal. Blair's white minidress (not pictured) looked party-ready, and Serena looked her usual gorgeous, and no one thought that her formal white maxidress was anything unusual for a teen to don. 6. When Jenny Humphrey was allowed to wear any of this. I was never at all sympathetic to Jenny Humphrey's rebellion. Sure, it's hard being middle class next to a sea of one percent teens, but Jenny still seemed pretty fortunate to me. I for one would kill for her huge Brooklyn loft, but maybe that's just me. When the youngest Humphrey left the house in any of these butt-grazing skirt and fishnet combos, my jaw dropped and I wanted to cover that girl up, fast. New York City can be a scary place, and it helps to wear pants out there. 7. When Blair pulled off this much yellow. How come I see this look and can only think about how much I want that skirt? But seriously, if anyone in their right mind wore a yellow blouse with a mostly-yellow skirt and topped it off with yellow heels, yellow bracelets, and an almost-yellow necklace and purse, they would look more like a failed Big Bird costume than anyone chic. 8. When "easy breezy" Serena could walk in any of her heels. For a character who appears to float by on a heavenly cloud, Serena sure clunks around in a lot of sky-high stilettos that would leave any of us stumbling to our ankle-breaking doom. Sometimes it seems out of character that the casual character doesn't opt for flats or even sneakers- we know she would pull them off seamlessly. 9. When this was an (almost) acceptable first day of college outfit. So Blair deservingly got some flack for her look starting classes at NYU, and I really can't blame her. This seems like a pretty good outfit to wear on a first day of work in an office, maybe minus the headband. Sadly, college wear more closely resembles festival wear than anything requiring this much polish. Blair could have done herself a favor by opting for some nice denim, but when have we ever seen her in denim? If only we could all afford to accessorize with shopping bags as often as Blair and Serena did. Ugh, Gossip Girl fashion. You kill me but I love you still.

10 Things You Probably Didn't Know About Friends
As Janice would say "oh...my...god" some of these facts are surprising!! I recently started watching Friends (shout out to Netflix for making it possible), and some of the weird things I've learned about the show have amazed me. I bet bigger Friends fans will be totally shocked by most of these facts! 1. Ellen Degeneres turned down an offer to play the role of Phoebe. I'm glad she did because The Ellen Show rocks and I'm not sure anyone could pull off Phoebe's eccentric personality the way Lisa Kudrow does. 2. Before they landed on the name Friends, they tossed around a couple other ideas like Insomnia Café, Friends Like Us, Across the Hall, Once Upon a Time in the West Village or Six of One. Personally, I like the simplicity of Friends because no offense, Once Upon a Time in the West Village really doesn't roll of the tongue. 3. Central Perk was originally going to be a diner, but eventually producers decided on a cafe instead. I'm glad they did, it gives Friends a much cozier feel than I think a diner would have. 4. The cast made $22,000 for the first episode, and by the end of the series, they each made $1 million per episode. It just goes to show how popular the series really became. 5. After filming the last episode, each cast member took a piece of the sidewalk from outside Central Perk as a keepsake. Asphalt is not necessarily my idea of a charming keepsake, but it's still pretty cute. 6. No one besides the main six ever sat on the orange couch. It became an unspoken rule that that part of the set was Friends only. 7. Only super observant Friends fans would notice this one - Monica's apartment number was changed from 5 to 20 when they realized she was supposed to live on the second floor. A good catch by a continuity error expert. 8. Courtney Cox was originally supposed to play Rachel. This one's weird to think about when you only picture Monica and Ross as siblings. 9. Ross stays 29 years old for three seasons, a continuity error that someone must have missed. In seasons 3, 4 and 5 he mentions being 29 even though years have obviously passed. I'm only on season 2 and I can't wait to get there because now I'll definitely notice! 10. Last, and definitely cutest, the cast would huddle up before filming every episode to wish each other good luck.
Anniversary Decoration Inspiration for Loved Ones
In commemorating the wedding anniversary, you are definitely looking forward to a special celebration accompanied by prayers from the closest people. However, to realize this, sometimes we are a little confused. Moreover, the impression of a special party is festive, excited, and requires a fairly large budget. Now there's no need to worry, because to make a memorable event there's no need to bother anymore. You can see the inspiration for simple wedding anniversary decoration ideas that can be applied. # 1 Unique balloons Using balloons has a bright impression, and it's also fun. Not only that, balloons also have a certain meaning and philosophy in a birthday party. To make the balloon decoration feel even more special, you can try making a balloon that is equipped with an ice cream funnel decoration. Apart from being more creative and unique, making it is not difficult and can be done by yourself. # 2 Paper Flowers with Various Color Variants You can also add paper flower decorations with colorful touches. By using this decoration, the room will feel more cheerful. You only need to use a little water, glass, and food coloring. Pour water into a glass, and mix food coloring with a different color in each glass. Then soak the flower stalk both paper and original into it. # 3 Fresh Fruit Decorations You can also use fresh fruit as decoration. These fresh fruits can be arranged in such a way and become an attractive decoration. Even cooler, this decoration can later be eaten as a dessert. # 4 Dessert table Besides fresh fruit, another dish that you can make decorations for is dessert. Of course, no party is complete without a snack. Now you can use it as a very interesting decoration object. You can arrange all types of snacks or cakes on the table to make it as attractive as possible. Plus take advantages on how to drape a ceiling with fabric and lights. To be sure, this decoration will create a positive impression for all the guests present.
Unrealistic TV Apartments That Make Every New Yorker Jealous
As I sit in my tiny bedroom with no air conditioning, I watch Carrie Bradshaw bask in the hugeness of her awesome West Village apartment on Sex and the City. How can she afford this on a writer's salary?! And then I remember...it's just a TV show. Television is full of unrealistic New York City apartments that make us real-life New Yorkers totally jealous, but we've got to remember, they're all too good to be true. This picture doesn't even do the entire apartment justice (remember the giant closet??) There's no way that a small newspaper columnist could afford this apartment! I did a little investigation and found out that this apartment in the West Village sells for $600,000. Maybe Mr. Big could afford this, but no way in hell Carrie could! In HIMYM there are several roommates splitting the rent in this apartment, but I still don't buy it! A little research proved that the gang's hangout would probably go for around $5000 a month. Not as bad as I thought, but I doubt Lily's shopping habits and Marshall's unemployment in the first few seasons could afford it. Most people are living the life of luxury on Gossip Girl - except the Humphrey's. They're supposed to be much less well off than the rest of the characters and yet, they afford this pretty amazing Brooklyn apartment. This DUMBO apartment would probably sell for $6000 a month. Another unrealistic West Village apartment belongs to Monica and Rachel in Friends. With the huge kitchen, huge windows and a huge living room, this one could be purchased for around $2.5 million. Somehow I don't think a Central Perk salary could afford that! Seinfeld's Upper West Side apartment might be the most realistic because Jerry seems fairly financially stable throughout the series. Either way this apartment with one bedroom, plenty of office space, a huge living room and a reasonably-sized kitchen would sell for around $900,000. Most of these apartments are the hangout spot for the show's group of friends. My place is barely big enough for one person, so all of these are giving me tons of apartment envy!!!
