History of Big Bang

Big Bang or Bigbang (Korean: 빅뱅; stylized as BIGBANG) is a South Korean male group under the management of YG Entertainment. Formed in 2006, the group consists of G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri. Big Bang is known for their unique urban-originated music and fashion style. The members' involvement in composing and producing their own music, most notably leader G-Dragon, has earned the group respect and praise from music industry experts. The group's popularity grew with their hit song Lies, which stayed at number one on Korean charts for a record-breaking seven consecutive weeks. Their follow up releases, Hot Issue and Stand Up, furthered their success, spawning hits such as Last Farewell and Haru Haru.[4] From 2007 to 2008, Big Bang received many awards, including "Best Male Group", "Song of the Year", "Artist of the Year", and the Grand Award at the Seoul Music Awards. From 2009 to 2010, Big Bang expanded their endeavors to Japan, and were voted "the Korean group that Japanese fans wish to see the most". They became the first foreign group awarded "Best Newcomer" from the Japan Cable Broadcasting Station and "Best New Artist" at MTV Japan. Amidst their Japanese group promotions, the members branched out to do solo activities. Daesung, Taeyang, G-Dragon, and Seungri have released solo albums. G-Dragon and T.O.P also collaborated on an album under the sub-unit GD & TOP. Seungri and Daesung have acted in both TV dramas and musicals. T.O.P became a highly acclaimed film star. Daesung also hosted many of Korea's most popular variety TV shows. After nearly a two-year hiatus in Korea, Big Bang reunited in 2011 with their successful album Tonight. However, promotions were cut short when multiple members encountered legal issues. In November 2011, representing the Asia-Pacific region, Big Bang emerged as the inaugural "Best Worldwide Act" winner at the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards.[5][6][7] This was the first time in six months all five members were seen together. In 2012, Big Bang released their fifth Mini Album Alive in Korea and Japan before embarking on their first ever World Tour which concluded in early 2013.

Heirs - Character Break down - Cha Eun Sang

Who is Cha Eun Sang in the upcoming drama "Heirs"? Her motto is “Be a rich while still young, or at least someone with a goal in mind.” “Cinderella’s glass slipper fell off and in the end she got to marry the prince.” 7 year old Eun Sang read this and thought that Cinderella must’ve have scraped up her feet when she lost her shoe, but Cinderella’s shoe served a deeper purpose. Eun Sang firmly believed this, and faced with a deaf mute mother, she had to grow up quickly. Since she was small she took care of everything for her mother – taxes, loan papers, insurance, there is nothing Eun Sang doesn’t know how to do as the de facto head of the house. But at the same time, she is embarrassed to be seen in public using sign language with her mom, so she instead uses Kakao talk even when they are face-to-face. She is just an 18 year old girl with the same insecurities. She dislikes having a mom who can’t talk, she hates that her mom is the housekeeper for a wealthy family. But what Eun Sang hates the most is that her responsibilities and duties in life make it impossible for her to travel abroad. She seems like a strong and sunny person, but in the deep recesses of her heart there is a small corner that is resentful. Every weekend she sees her friends on Facebook post about going to a steak house or a club, but all she does is head to ceremonial halls and convenience stores, of course those being the places where she works part time. When the same-age folks are dreaming of becoming doctors, teachers, and celebrities, Eun Sang dreams about “a stable office work job that pays 2 million won a month.”

Heirs - Character Break-down - Kim Tan

Who is Kim Tan in the upcoming "Heirs" drama? An heir to the Jeguk (Empire) Group. He is overshadowed by his older half-brother, Kim Won, and is actually the son of his father's mistress, although he is listed in the family registry as the son of the second wife in order to be a legitimate heir. Prior to the show, he was exiled to study abroad in the U.S. before returning to South Korea. Although he is engaged to Yoo Rachel, he falls in love with Cha Eun-sang despite her poor background. The plausible reason for his exile to America, may have something to do with what happened in middle school. Tan confessed to Eun Sang that the hierarchy and the bullying all started with him and Choi Young Do back in middle school. Despite the fact Won, his older brother, hates him, Tan still cares about Won.

Jung Yong Hwa cites difference in opinion; turns down Heirs

Well this was ummm disappointing. Just when a girl gets her hopes up, something like this needs to happen… It seems that Yong-Hwa has decided that it is not worth being on a drama called "Heirs," if he can't be treated as an heir. I mean we all know that Yong-hwa has a great role as the leader of the very talented, and very loved CNBlue, so no wonder he feels like if this is not the right role for him, he will walk away. And that is exactly what he is doing! While there is a lot of anticipation for this almost "slam-dunk" drama, I mean it has Lee Min Ho, Park Shin Hye, and talented writer, Kim Eun-sook (I loved Secret Garden ><!), Yong-hwa's representatives decided to walk away from the table after they failed to reach an agreement with drama producers over Yong-hwa's potential role. I will admit that I was excited to see him alongside Lee Min Ho (I mean at the very least that is one great hour of eye candy XD!), but I will not lose much sleep over losing his sometimes pedestrian acting. If this means that some other actor is given the chance to shine, then bring it on! I just hope this loss leads to finding a great talent! What about you? How do you feel about this? Disappointed or indifferent?
